Please help us Match our Hand and Hand Grant

Dear Family and Friends, As many of you may have already heard we feel that God has called us on a new journey to provide a “forever” family to a child through the process of adoption. We have started down this path of adoption last August and will be excited ...to bring a child into our home the beginning of September. We have felt led to pursue a child from a Domestic Adoption and are now waiting for the specific child God has for us. This road to adoption is full of many joys and challenges, the greatest joy being the inclusion of a child into our family and the greatest challenge being finances. The costs of adoption include the expense of a home study, adoption agency, lawyers, travel expenses, etc., with the total cost ending up somewhere around $25,000. We were recently awarded a matching funds grant to help with the expenses of our adoption through Hand in Hand Christian Adoption, Inc. a non-profit private operating foundation. Hand in Hand will match any funds that are donated through our friends and family for the expenses of our adoption. All funds received through our friends and family will be matched dollar for dollar by Hand in Hand up to our awarded grant amount. You can find out more about Hand in Hand through their website at www.handinhandadopt.org. MATCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY COW, What a whirlwind the last 2 days have been. Today we were matched with our blessing from above. Syndey Paige is due to be born the first of September in Arizona. We are all so happy and can't wait for each of you to meet her. Just when you think it want happen, the phone rings.

Let me just tell you that 4 weeks ago yesterday we finished our new profile book with Tracie Loux of Christian Adoption Consultants. I would have never believed her if she had told me it was going to be this fast. This is why she is great at what she does and Tripp has told everyone that "Tracie is his HERO". If you are every going to adopt Domestically you have to let her help. Thanks Tracie!!!

So with this being said we need 7000 before Sydney-Paige is born. So if you can help please do so. You can click on the donation button on the side of the page. Thanks to everyone that has donated for helping us.

how this journey began again?

Several people have said i didn't know you were adopting again, or when did it you start your process. We knew last summer we would adopt again. The the question came would we do international or domestic. With Guatemala closed and with that being where our hearts are, we didn't know what we would do. So we started looking into domestic and learning how the process would work. The paperwork process started last August. It has truthfully been a learning process. First we started with an agency out of Florida called ASCS. After being with them for 8 months we decided to look at other agencies. There were friends of ours who had used Tracie Loux with Christian Adoption Consultants. As Tripp would say she is a hero to many. Tracie can give you all the help you need. We learned how to get grants we didn't know about, fundraise more, sign with several other agencies, and more than anything be your listening partner when you are having a bad/emotional day. Yes, adoption isn't always easy. So we signed with Tracie in May. So since May we have been busy with applying for several grants we didn't know about, and more fundraising. So today we just are waiting to see where God will guide us to our little girl.

Welcome!

Today, i write this post first thankful for the blessing we were given 4 years ago, our sweet little boy Hunter Ryan. Hunter was adopted from Guatemala Oct.2006. Now we are on this journey called Adoption again. It is the greatest blessing our family could get. Life without Hunter and soon to be Sydney Paige wouldn't be the same. Thanks for all the support our family and friends have given us during this process. We will keep this blog going to keep everyone up to date on any NEWS we receive.
